Key to doing a good job for a dealership, either training or consulting, is centered around the
pre-evaluation. We have had some GMs tell us upfront that they simply want to get rid of everything they currently have
and have us install from scratch. We will not do that until we can find out what it is they are currently doing. They
may have the right tools but the wrong processes or people. They don't know so they throw their arms up in frustration.
A good pre-evaluation will uncover the weaknesses and maybe even some strengths at the dealership. Whenever possible, we
prefer to do our pre-evaluation in person, giving us the first-hand ability to analyze the current Internet processes,
infrastructure and telecommunications approach. However, often times that just isn't feasible so we use the phone and the
Internet to do similar fact-finding.
Once we have gathered and studied the necessary information, our team comes up with a proposal for developing an Internet
strategy, integrating digital marketing initiatives, creating follow-up programs and installing a reporting mechanism. This
proposal is shared with the dealership and a contract for training or consulting is then agreed upon and a date set.
